Tea & Writing

September 27, 2018

Most writers have a favorite beverage or cold drink to keep their creative vibes loading. Even readers love a good cup of jo or tea in combo with their current reads! That is perhaps why many cafes decide to include books or many bookstores, decide to include cafes. My favorite drink is tea and being a mother of two, I don´t always have the luxury to go to a nice cafe or bookstore to write my books or articles. Instead, my writing ambiance is set in my humble abode, right after the kids are in bed. Therefore, I make my own tea rather than purchase:

INGREDIENTS:

-Nido/Dano milk powder

-Two tea bags

-Half cup of milk

-Two teaspoons of sugar

-Boiled water from a kettle

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Put two tea bags, two tsp sugar and half-cup of milk into a mug or cup. Mix together.

2.Boil this in the microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds, sometimes it may be 1 minute and 30 seconds. You will know when it is done as soon as you see the milk bubbling up almost to the surface of the cup/mug at which point it is your cue to stop the microwave from running.

3.Add boiled water to your cup/mug and mix.

4.Leave the teabags in there for about 3-5 minutes.

5.As soon as you notice that the tea has turned a caramel color, then you can throw out the tea bags and be sure that your hot beverage is just right!

6. If you love chai, then you could one of the two following options:

-Instead of two normal teabags, add the indian chai flavored ones.

-Add a cardamon and half of a cinnamon stick to the tea you have made based on my

above recipe. Then, take throw them out with your soaked teabags.

My tea is not only what keeps me writing on a high, but also keeps me grounded with inspo.

HAPPY WRITING AND BE SURE TO LET ME KNOW HOW THIS TEA TURNS OUT FOR YOU!
