World Hijab Day was founded by Nazma Khan in 2013, in pursuit of raising awareness through Online educational publications, talk show, seminars and various activities, which invite people of all races and faiths to wear hijab for a day in solidarity with Muslim women around the world. This event is commemorated in over 150 countries in both public and private sectors. WHD is also proud to have founded “Fast For Unity” and “International Muslim History Month,” to foster a greater understanding of the Muslim faith.
